BPA Free Water Containers Water, an essential ingredient to life on earth. In today's environment, most of the
water we drink has passed through a variety of filtration processes so by the time
water comes out our faucets, it's clean and drinkable. While the source of the water
is often out of our control, we can control where the water goes before it becomes
part of us.
Bisphenol A is a very common ingredient in many household plastics we use every day.
Bisphenol A, or BPA, is commonly found in baby bottles, nalgene bottles and other water bottles of a clear and
harder nature. Any polycarbonate water bottle or water bottle with a #7 recycling stamp will contain
BPAs. While recent studies by the
FDA
and the EFSA have both reaffirmed
BPA is a safe ingredient, other reports like the
Heath Canada
assessment paint a different picture. There have been worries over the health and safety of
Bisphenol A since the 1930's, but only recently have the concerns been in the public
eye. In spring of 2008, The Canadian Health Minister announced Canada's intentions to ban the
import and sale of polycarbonate baby bottles containing bisphenol A.
BPA Free Baby Bottles
are becoming more popular and stainless steel water bottles even more so.
High quality stainless steel water bottles usually come in a variety of grades and sizes.
The most common stainless steel water bottles on the market today are Klean Kanteens. The
Klean Kanteen water bottles come in
12oz,
18oz,
27oz &
40oz sizes
and there are a variety of bottle cap styles available too. For more information check out the articles on
