Eco-Friendly Party Guide Hosting a "Green" Event
You don't need to wait until St. Patrick's Day to have a "Green" party. Of course, we are referring to having a party that is eco-friendly. It's always fun to party with the friends and family, but afterwards there is a large pile of trash to take out. Why not do your part and have the same fun, but do it in a way that reduces waste, uses recyclable materials and saves our Earth's precious resources? We found a few items you'll want to use for your next get together to help keep your carbon footprint at a minimum but the partying to a maximum.
With any party comes the grub. If burgers and dogs are on the menu for your party, you'll want to keep the organic ketchup and
organic mustard on your condiment table. And after the meal is served, the dessert comes out. And what dessert doesn't go great with tasty cup of joe? The organic coffee we found has a medium-heavy body with an earthy spice flavor that is sure to be a treat for your guests.
With any party comes the inevitable spills, whether it is grandma dropping a plate of food on her lap or the kids spilling juice on the carpet. The recycled triple-ply paper towels will take care of the messes and soak up the sloppiest of spills. You can also get organic products for your restrooms, as they always get plenty of use at any party. The recycled bath tissue and lavendar organic soap are great ways to help the environment.
Finally, after a day of partying and the guests have headed home (hopefully in a carpool), comes the dreaded clean up. But you can get your house in order and feel good about it when you use the organic cleaner. It is tough enough to cut through all the grease and grime, leaving you with a clean house. And then you can then rest easy with your clean conscience, knowing you did your part to help Mother Earth.
